Adult Education & Programming

Temple Anshe Amunim has a variety of adult learning experiences.  Each year we have our Summer Lunch and Learn Series which will feature Rabbi Josh with some of his favorite topics as well as special guest speakers.  Also in the summer, Dr. Barbara Waldinger, Professor of Theatre Arts, will hold her Play Analysis Series which focuses on some aspect of Jewish life.  We have also participated in the theatre experiences the Berkshires has to offer where a Jewish theme prevails; these include "talk-backs" with Rabbi Josh around the plays Jewish topic.

Both Women of Reform Judaism (Sisterhood) and the Temple's Men's Club (Brotherhood) hold regular meetings that also include guest speakers.  The Men's Club's Movie Minyan, happening each month at the Temple is bringing interesting films on Jewish themes.  Click here for more information.

The Temple Book Club meets on a monthly basis with selected readings determined by the group.  The Book Club meets once per month on Thursday at 11:45 and you can bring your lunch.  Check the Temple Calendar for the next book club date.

Two special endowments have provided unique programs for the Temple.  They include the Wolfe Cantorial Concert held each year and the Hilda Vallin Feigenbaum Lecture Series.  More information can be found about the Lecture Series by clicking here.

Finally, our very talented Education Director, Esther Benari-Altmann, provides unique learning opportunities for adults.  Current classes include:  Hebrew Through the Siddur, Conversational Hebrew and Adult B'nai Mitzvah Class.
